Are you a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) passionate about providing exceptional care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)? We are seeking compassionate and skilled professionals to enhance the quality of life for our residents in a supportive, caring environment. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
Required Skills:
- Valid LVN license in California
- Experience in care for individuals with IDD preferred
- Ability to assist with all aspects of personal and healthcare needs
- Knowledge of G-tube feeding procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to follow facility dress code and conduct policies
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working in a residential or facility setting
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Familiarity with documentation and care plan adherence
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid LVN license issued by the State of California
- Previous experience providing care to individuals with disabilities is desirable
- Flexible availability for PRN shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Other Requirements:
- Ability to assist with all aspects of care, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility
- Willingness to work in a 5-bed residential facility with currently 4 residents
- Open to wearing scrubs; no open toe shoes or clothing with holes
- Must pass background checks and adhere to all safety and confidentiality standards
