Delivers routine nursing care similar to an LPN, including administering medications and assisting with patient hygiene and mobility. Works under physician or RN direction in clinical or residential care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver routine nursing care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance.
2. Administer prescribed medications and injections, and monitor for potential side effects or reactions.
3. Record and report patient vitals, observations, symptoms, and responses to treatments.
4. Assist with wound care, catheter maintenance, dressing changes, and other approved procedures.
5. Prepare patients for medical examinations, therapy sessions, or diagnostic tests.
6. Support RNs and physicians with assessments, treatments, and plan-of-care updates.
7. Educate patients and their families on proper hygiene, medication adherence, and recovery techniques.

1. Valid LVN license in the state of practice.
2. Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or equivalent).
3. Minimum 6 months to 1 year of hands-on clinical experience preferred.
4. Knowledge of basic nursing practices and state scope of practice regulations.
5. Ability to work independently while recognizing when to escalate issues.
6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
7. Proficiency with EMR systems is a plus.
