Job Summary

Seeking an experienced LVN/LPN to provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical setting. The LPN will monitor patients, administer medications and treatments, assist with daily care, and collaborate with the nursing and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document vital signs, pain assessments, intake/output, and blood glucose levels.

• Observe and report changes in patient condition.

• Administer medications through oral, IM, SQ, NG/G-tube, ear, and eye drop routes.

• Provide IV therapy using infusion pumps and monitor patient response.

• Perform telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKGs.

• Administer and monitor oxygen therapy via nasal cannula.

• Manage feeding tubes and perform Foley catheter insertion.

• Collect, label, and process urine and other clinical specimens.

• Provide basic wound care and simple dressing changes.

• Assist patients with bathing, mouth care, hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living.

• Follow isolation precautions and infection-control procedures.

• Follow patient safety and physical restraint procedures.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

• Communicate patient conditions and changes to the RN/physician.

• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Active New York LPN/LVN license required.

• Current BLS certification required.

• Recent acute care/Medical Surgical experience required.

• EPIC experience required.

• Experience with medication administration and IV therapy.

• Telemetry and EKG experience.

• Experience with oxygen therapy and respiratory care.

• Experience with feeding tubes and Foley catheters.

• Wound care and infection-control experience.

• Strong patient-care and communication skills.

• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.

• Must be available for every other weekend and holidays as required.

Pay Rate: $1,350–$1,460/Week
