POSITION: LPN Ambulatory Cardiology Practice (Located in Medical Office Building B on the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center campus)

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

" Shift hours/Contract Length: M-F 8a-5p

" Charting: EPIC experience required

" Weekend Requirement: No

" RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission. Requests will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking.

" Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks.

" Accept First-Time Travelers: Depends on candidate s experience

" Locals Accepted? Yes

" Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license.

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

" Cardiology-Specific: (exp preferred) Cardiology outpatient experience including basic cardiology skills, proficiency in obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, emergency response

" Core Clinical Skills: Cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy

" Additional Skills: Rooming patients, managing prescriptions, patient callbacks, completing forms

UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

" Ratios: Can be 1:22

" Serves adults and geriatrics

" LPN will work with patients who are newly diagnosed with cardiac disease, post cardiac procedures, and on cardiac maintenance therapy under the care of a cardiologist

" Floating: Will be required to float within skillset- will also be working the EP side of the clinic
