Job Requirements
Education Requirements:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) diploma or state-approved nursing program completion

Certifications Requirements:

  • Valid LVN license in Texas
  • CPR certification
  • IV certification (preferred)

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of LTC, acute, or corrections nursing experience
  • Prior experience with heavy medication passes
  • Experience at a State Hospital or State Supported Living Center (preferred for priority)

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work evenings from 4 PM to 12 AM
  • Strong attention to medication administration protocols
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care with a focus on medication administration, ensuring accuracy and safety during heavy med pass shifts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses in accordance with facility policies.
  • Execute vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and patient assessments efficiently during evening shifts.
  • Support patient and family education to promote understanding and compliance with care plans.
