LVN - mental health

Licensed Vocational Nurses are encouraged to consider a per diem weekend position with Liberty Healthcare’s mental health program at the Rock Mountain Detention Facility – a San Diego County jail located in South San Diego County.

This program provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Providing basic nursing care to jail inmates

• Administering IV and oral medications

• Providing health education

• Observing and documenting health status

• Collaborating with security staff

• Ensuring program clients receive high quality health services

Work setting

You will work onsite at the Rock Mountain Detention Facility at 446 Alta Road in San Diego, CA 92158

Schedule

You will work as needed - per diem - on weekends

Pay

• $30.00 to $36.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Qualifications

You are a good fit for this position if you are a Licensed Vocational Nurse and have experience working in a mental health setting.
