Job Description
This Intern must be located within a 40-mile radius of the Blue River PetCare corporate office (1 S. Wacker Dr. Chicago, IL 60606).
The Integrations Intern assists the Specialist Team in managing the onboarding process for prospective veterinary hospitals onto the Blue River PetCare network. This temporary role is designed to provide hands-on experience in client onboarding, relationship management, and project support. The Intern will work closely with the Specialists and Specialist Supervisor to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new clients.
Employment Type:
Temporary, Part-Time: This position is intended to be temporary, approximately 24 hours per week, with an expected duration of up to 4 months.
Supportive Role: The Integrations Intern will primarily serve in a supportive capacity, assisting team members with various tasks and projects as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Onboarding Support:
Assist in end-to-end onboarding process for new veterinary hospitals
Help process necessary information and documentation from prospective clients
Support the team in handling more complex projects or acquisitions
Collaborate with department members to analyze and process relevant data and documentation
Create documentation for projects
Ensure accurate and complete documentation of client onboarding activities
Learn about relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects
Work flexible hours as required by client/practice needs and corporate teammates
Requirements
Strong analytical, data analysis, and interpretation skills
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environment
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities without momentum loss
Ability to build rapport and trust quickly
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Familiarity with online meeting technical details and meeting setup, hosting, and participation protocols
Salesforce experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Motor skills include keyboarding manipulation for data entry
This position occasionally moves about the office to access filing cabinets, supplies, and office machinery
This position frequently communicates with managers at remote locations using email and phone; must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations
Occasionally moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
This position frequently communicates and collaborates with co-workers in the office
Education Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business, Management, or a related field
