Role: M365 & Identity Engineering (Active Directory Transformation)
Location: Remote
Duration: 3-6+ Months

Only W2

Primary Skill Required for the Role: Microsoft - BizTalk Server

We are seeking an experienced M365 and Identity Engineer to join a large-scale Active Directory remediation and rebuild engagement. This role sits at the intersection of identity architecture, cloud transformation, and hands-on engineering — requiring both deep technical expertise and the composure to deliver in a complex, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the assessment, remediation, and/or rebuild of on-premises Active Directory environments, including forest/domain architecture, Group Policy, trust relationships, and FSMO roles
  • Design and implement hybrid identity solutions bridging on-premises AD with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including sync configuration via Entra Connect
  • Plan and execute user, group, and resource migrations across domains and forests using industry-standard tooling (e.g., ADMT, Quest Migration Manager, or equivalent)
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 workloads — including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and licensing — in the context of identity migration
  • Enforce identity security best practices including Conditional Access policies, MFA, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and tiered administration models
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders to communicate progress, manage expectations, and translate technical complexity into clear business language
  • Produce high-quality documentation including architecture diagrams, migration runbooks, and post-migration validation reports

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in identity and directory services engineering
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Active Directory — design, administration, troubleshooting, and rebuild/recovery scenarios
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity architectures
  • Proven experience leading domain or cross-domain user migrations, including mailbox migrations to Exchange Online
  • Proficiency with M365 administration across core workloads
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving project environments
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
