Job Summary

The Machine Assembly Specialist is a key contributor on the EPS production floor, responsible for building the custom-engineered printing machines our customers depend on worldwide. Working from detailed assembly prints, engineering drawings, and specifications, you will fit and assemble complex electrical and mechanical components into finished systems — working both independently and as part of a collaborative production team. This role is central to our mission of delivering precision-crafted machines that exceed customer expectations.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Analyze assembly drawings, work orders, and engineering memos to plan and sequence machine building operations

• Align and assemble mechanical and electrical components manually or with hoist equipment, using hand tools and pneumatic tools

• Verify conformance of parts to bill of materials and engineering prints using precision instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometers)

• Form and fasten piping, fixtures, motors, sensors, power supplies, and attachments for air and electrical service

• Install wiring and electrical components per specifications to build complete, functional electrical panels

• Set up and operate metal-working machines to shape and prepare parts as needed

• Maintain accurate and complete production records in support of quality and traceability standards

• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Customer-facing teams to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery

Requirements – Knowledge, Skills & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training strongly preferred

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a machining and assembly environment

• Working knowledge of electrical controls, fixturing, and machine assembly methods

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics

• Extensive knowledge of electrical part naming conventions

• Proficiency with measurement devices, power tools, and assembly equipment

• Strong commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices and workflow discipline

• Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to follow and relay instructions with accuracy

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally; role requires standing, walking, reaching, and bending

• Comfortable using a computer for production inquiries and documentation
