This position of a Machine Assembler is responsible for assembling TRUMPF products in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and established manufacturing procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical components and complete machines using engineering drawings, bills of materials, blueprints, and hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
Use precision measuring and assembly tools—including torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators, and digital levels—to meet required tolerances.
Select and properly use fixtures and other equipment to support efficient, accurate assembly.
Operate an overhead crane to safely move heavy components during assembly.
Follow TRUMPF quality standards and inspection requirements.
Read, convert, and measure accurately using both imperial and metric systems.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to achieve team and production goals.
Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with TRUMPF lean manufacturing principles.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and providing constructive feedback.
Experience & Education
Minimum of two years of experience in assembly, or five years of experience in manufacturing machine-tool parts, maintenance, or service.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and perform repetitive reaching, bending, and other physical tasks.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, engineering drawings, part lists, and schematics.
Experience using precision measuring and assembly tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with electrical wiring assembly is a plus.
Basic computer literacy is preferred.
Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
