Responsibilities / Duties

• Review the production schedule with the supervisor/scheduler and carefully read job specifications to ensure all materials are ready for production
• Verify that all forms to be bound are present or ordered and ensure the entire crew is aligned on the job requirements
• Set up jobs quickly and efficiently to maximize production speed while maintaining the highest quality standards
• Perform quality control inspections and verify that machine monitors are operating properly
• Order set-ups in a timely manner to minimize downtime and production delays
• Ensure all safety screens/guards are in place and that crew members are using required protective equipment
• Confirm finished products meet all job specifications and customer requirements
• Verify distribution requirements at job completion and maintain accurate production records in the AS400 system
• Prepare shortage reports when needed and ensure production documentation is completed accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine maintenance on binders and gatherers
• Lead and coordinate crew efforts to improve teamwork, efficiency, quality, and productivity
• Communicate production issues to supervision and assist with training and development of crew members as needed
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned by supervision

Skills Needed

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery
• Ability to clean, maintain, and care for assigned equipment and work areas
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
