Position: Machine Learning Expert
Type:Contract
Compensation:$70–$120/hour
Location:Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write modeling problems from systems you have shipped, including data, objectives, constraints, and reference answers for model grading.
• Grade model-written training and evaluation code, ensuring loss matches objectives, and evaluating set integrity.
• Flag models proposing approaches that might fail in production due to distribution shift, label noise, or incorrect metric rewards.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance training data quality and downstream performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Professional experience training, evaluating, or deploying machine learning systems.
• Clear written communication skills for explaining reasoning.
• Comfort with ambiguous tasks and willingness to flag unclear instructions.
