Required Skills/ Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age or older 2+ years of prior machine maintenance experience Strong mechanical and electrical understanding of complex equipment Experience using basic hand and power tools Knowledge of machine tools and their proper use Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs Preferred Skills/ QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED 3+ years of machine maintenance experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Mechanical aptitude Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions, and engineering specifications Overview:Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment by inspecting, troubleshooting, and evaluating issues to determine root cause. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as needed. Cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement components, inspects completed repairs, and returns equipment to specifications. Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet special requirements.
