Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC mills, lathes, and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, spindle, servo, drive, turret, alignment, and calibration issues.
Perform preventive maintenance to maximize machine uptime, reliability, and production efficiency.
Assist with machine installations, relocations, rebuilds, and upgrades.
Facility & Equipment Support
Maintain and repair facility systems, including electrical controls, motor starters, panel wiring, plumbing, compressed air systems, pumps, conveyors, cranes, and material handling equipment.
Safely operate forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts to support maintenance and equipment moves.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through equipment optimization and process enhancements.
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
Investigate recurring equipment failures and identify root causes.
Implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and fall protection requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Participate in safety training and promote a culture of workplace safety.
Qualifications
Required
5 to 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or machine shop environment.
Strong experience maintaining and repairing CNC mills and lathes.
Hands-on knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency maintenance needs when required.
Preferred
Experience working with Mitsubishi, Mori Seiki, Okuma, or similar CNC equipment.
Technical certification or Associate Degree in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Forklift and aerial lift certifications.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working at heights using aerial lifts and platforms.
