Job Duties:
Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Â

Cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, inspects completed repairs and returns equipment to specifications. Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.  Â
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.  Â
Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
2 years prior machine maintenance experience.Â
Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment. Â Â
Use of basic hand tools and power tools. Â Knowledge of machine tools and their use. Â
Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.Â

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)Â
Education:Â HS/GEDÂ
Experience:  3 years prior machine maintenance experience. Good written and verbal communication skills.  Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Mechanical aptitude.  Â
Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications.
