Machine Maintenance Technician I

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Purpose: Provide support with all preventative maintenance and repair activities of all production and non-production machines/equipment/forklifts and company vehicles.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program
• Perform light preventative maintenance as assigned
• Check and replenish all machine oil reservoirs
• Check and replenish all machine coolant reservoirs
• Empty all machine chip bins
• Inspect/clean and or replace all filter mist filters
• Replace all machine air filters as required
• Service company vehicles as required
• Clean/fill and inspect all forklift and floor scrubber batteries
• Transfer coolant between tanks in coolant reclaiming system
• Take coolant concentricity readings in all production machines and coolant reclaiming system, document all readings
• Perform visual inspections on all online air compressors and dryers, document all readings
• Replace all air compressor oil and air filters as required
• Must be able to perform the above duties without direct supervision
• Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives
• Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 1 year mechanical and/or automotive experience
• Forklift operator experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions or procedures
• Must qualify for driving company vehicles as per company policy
• Must be able to travel and/or attend Machine Technician training classes as needed

Training:

• Reference OJT

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Walk or stand 90% of shift
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and climb ladders/stairs
