Machine Operator I – Special Processes
This is a full-time hourly position that works primarily during first shift (Mon-Thu 6am-5pm) but may be to adjust working hours as needed to adequately lead the team and meet production demands.
Manufacturing Support Team Member Essential Job Functions:
In this role, you will be a part of a dynamic team in all aspects of manufacturing high-quality components in a fast-paced environment. As a team member, you will be a part of daily production activities operating gundrills, reamers, rifling machines, and/or CNC lathes, as assigned by your team lead. Through the practice of utilizing a daily management system, you will have the opportunity to provide feedback towards process improvements and lean initiatives.
What you'll do
- Manufacture complex gun components utilizing Gun drill machine, CNC Lathes, and other special processes equipment
- Ensure the process operates in accordance with defined standards
- Follow set production schedule, and report any problems to the Team Lead
- In-process inspection utilizing Mics, Calipers, Indicators, Mahr systems, Air Gauges
- Complete manufacturing quality and production paperwork in accordance with good documentation practices and ISO 9001
- Tool Change/ Tool setting in accordance to set procedures
- Tool wear offsets to ensure the highest quality of parts
- Deburring parts as needed, provide feedback when applicable
- Operate multiple machines, as needed
Other Job Functions:
- Assist with improvement -related projects, questions, and solving problems as needed.
- Participate in department responses to corrective actions, and preventative actions
- Perform routine safety, quality, and work skills training.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
- This position requires the successful candidate to not be a prohibited person under the Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g).

Environmental and Working Conditions:
- Work is performed on a 10 acre, 6 campus building; potential need to move between buildings. Must have physical ability to walk between buildings as necessary.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to typical machinery and equipment.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
- Standing for extended periods and moving around the production floor frequently.
