What You'll Do as a Machine Operator:- Learn to safely set up, operate, and maintain high-volume mail inserting equipment
- Lead a small team while monitoring machine performance and ensuring production goals are met
- Verify production paperwork and job tickets to ensure mail pieces are processed accurately
- Sort, package, and prepare completed mail according to postal regulations and shipping requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine housekeeping around equipment
- Report machine malfunctions, production delays, or quality concerns to the shift supervisor promptly
What You Need to Bring to the Machine Operator Role:- Must have at least 3–6 months of production, manufacturing, or machine operation experience within the last 2 years
- Must be able to read basic instructions, write simple information, and perform basic math calculations
- Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift in a fast-paced production environment
- Must be able to frequently bend, stretch, and lift up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 40 pounds
- Good close, distance, and peripheral vision to safely monitor fast-moving machinery
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to producing quality work while following safety procedures
