Employment Type: W2 Contract – 4 Months with Possibility for Extensions
Pay Rate: $19.50–$20.00/hour – Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Work Model: Fully Onsite

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to support our customer’s manufacturing operations in San Diego, CA.

This entry-level position supports manufacturing activities involving raw material preparation, manual production processes, automated filling equipment, and basic laboratory equipment. The Manufacturing Operator will follow established procedures, maintain accurate records, and help ensure a safe, clean, and compliant production environment.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of related experience who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials and components.
• Perform manual manufacturing and production tasks according to established procedures.
• Assist with the operation of basic to fully automated filling equipment.
• Use basic laboratory equipment, including scales, balances, pipettes, and luminometers.
• Read, understand, and execute written procedures, manufacturing records, and production logs.
• Maintain accurate and complete training and manufacturing records.
• Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and applicable quality requirements.
• Assist with material handling and stocking of laboratory and manufacturing supplies.
• Perform routine housekeeping and cleaning of manufacturing and laboratory areas.
• Complete assigned daily laboratory and production responsibilities.
• Follow established safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform additional manufacturing-related activities as required by business needs.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of related manufacturing, production, laboratory, or similar experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic mathematical and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn and follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and laboratory materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of QSR and ISO requirements.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Basic knowledge of laboratory practices, procedures, techniques, instruments, and equipment.
• Familiarity with scales, balances, pipettes, luminometers, or similar laboratory equipment.
• Experience with manufacturing or automated filling equipment.
• Bloodborne pathogen training or related safety training.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
• Ability to use hands to handle objects, tools, equipment, and controls.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
• Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and other materials.
• Potential exposure to blood.
• Safety shoes with impact and compression protection are required.
• Ability to comply with applicable PPE and workplace safety requirements.
