Position Summary:

The Machine Operator’s primary responsibility is operating production equipment, including punch presses, press brakes, folding machines, turret presses, saw drill boxes, flat bed lasers, Kuka lasers, tube benders, buffing lines, and CNC mills.

Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.

Accountabilities:

• 1+ year of manufacturing and/or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Effective communication.
• Must be quality-focused and maintain an organized, safe work area.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools needed.
• Ability to follow first-piece inspection and approval procedures prior to full production.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, protractor and other inspection tools.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years' hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.

• Ability to use hand and power tools (e.g., nibblers, power saws).

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Effective communication.

• Quality-driven with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.

• Working knowledge of high-speed production machinery and measurement tools.

• Ability to follow first-piece inspection procedures (First Off Green Tag Procedure).

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.

• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, protractor and other inspection tools that may be required.
