Machine Operator - $21.00 - 3rd Shift

MACHINE OPERATOR

PAY RATE: $21.00/hour

AVAILABLE SHIFT: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)

JOB OVERVIEW

The Machine Operator 1 is responsible for performing routine manufacturing and production tasks while following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality guidelines, safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This position works under a high degree of supervision and applies basic knowledge and skills to complete prescribed operational processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Manually package kits according to established procedures and quality requirements.
• Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping functions within the production area.
• Test and inspect parts to complete in-process quality checks and identify deviations from specifications.
• Train other employees on assigned tasks and established procedures as directed.
• Accurately complete production paperwork and required documentation.
• Pull and stage raw materials needed for production orders.
• Feed raw materials onto the production line while maintaining proper workflow.
• Clear common and basic machine faults within established procedures.
• Perform basic machine setup and startup activities.
• Complete required machine shutdown procedures.
• Provide input and feedback regarding Standard Operating Procedures.
• Make basic machine setting controls and adjustments as permitted.
• Follow and document established procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Follow all company housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work overtime as required to meet business and production needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the work shift.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate successfully across departments.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform semi-routine assignments and recognize deviations from established specifications.
• Proficient in English, with the ability to read and write instructions, analyze and evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with PCs and the Windows operating environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

The Machine Operator 1 must consistently follow established procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and GMP guidelines. The position requires reliability, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to maintain productivity while performing repetitive manufacturing tasks. Overtime may be required based on business and production needs.
