Machine Operator - 2nd shift

Position: Laempe Machine Operator (2nd shift, starts at 1:30pm)

Train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Sets up, runs and monitors Laempe core making machine to make sand cores

· Stage production supplies, load sand and resin mixtures

· Inspect core for visual defects, cracks, etc.

· Clear sand buildup, perform basic daily machine upkeep

· Perform other duties as required

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· High School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred

· 2+ years Machine Operator / Foundry experience, core making preferred

· Ability to work independently and follow specific work instructions

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

· Handle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.

· Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.

· Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.

· Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs consistently and perform other heavy manual work in a hot and dirty environment

Job Type: Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
