Chocolate Manufacturing


Weaver Chocolates is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and hands-on 2nd Shift Lead Machine Operator to join our chocolate production team. This role is responsible for operating and supporting the chocolate production equipment used for panning and enrobing chocolate and confectionery products. The Lead Machine Operator helps keep production running safely and efficiently while supporting product quality, team members, food safety standards, and daily production goals.


Experience in chocolate, confectionery, food manufacturing, or machine operation is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Compensation:

$26 - $32 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Operate the chocolate production equipment used for panning and enrobing
  • Lead and support 2nd shift production team members.
  • Monitor equipment, product flow, and finished product quality.
  • Load and unload tanks, trays, tubs, pans, ingredients, and production materials.
  • Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and cleaning.
  • Complete required production, quality, cleaning, and food safety documentation accurately.
  • Perform routine quality checks and report product or equipment concerns.
  • Follow all company safety, food safety, GMP, SQF, sanitation, and allergen control procedures.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.
  • Communicate equipment, quality, material, safety, or production concerns to the appropriate team members.


Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.


  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb steps/platforms, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with machinery, moving parts, noise, food ingredients, and cooler or refrigerated conditions.

Qualifications:
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Prior machine operation experience preferred.
  • Chocolate, confectionery, food manufacturing, or production experience is a plus.
  • Leadership, line lead, or team lead experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, safety rules, and production instructions.
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
