Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Phillips Staffing is now hiring for a 2nd Shift Machine Operator for a leading manufacturer located in Liberty, SC! We are seeking motivated individuals who able to work productively in a medium-to-fast paced environment. Responsibilities:

• This position involves operating all types of machines and other duties in the secondary operations department after his or her supervisor has provided employee with proper training or instruction.
• Load/unload parts from machine as instructed by supervisor
• Use of standard gauges, including the following: dial calipers, depth gauges, plug gauges and special gauges after instruction has been provided       
• Possesses a working knowledge of quality requirements that pertain to the parts being machined and the operations being performed
• Changes cutting tools, drills, taps, end mills, etc., with minimal assistance from set up personnel.
• Able to perform machine adjustments with set up or supervisors’ instructions.
• Able to recognize and report quality problems to supervisor
• Capable of sharpening certain cutting tools with set up persons assistance

 Requirements:

• Must be self-motivated 
• Must be productive with the ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work Overtime, as required
• Must follow the dress code: Steel Toe, ESD shoes are required, plant wide.
