Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Position: Machine Operator
Location: Montgomeryville, PA 101
Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM (4/40 schedule)
Pay Rate: $20.35/hr-$22/hr on W2 weekly pay 
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3-month contract (possible extension)
Work Environment: 100% Onsite – Manufacturing environment
Interview Process: In-person interview (floor walk-and-talk + HR discussion, approx. 1–1.5 hours) – for 2nd shift, interviews usually scheduled around 3:30–4:00 PM
PPE: Safety shoes required

Position Summary

The Machine Operator will operate production machinery while ensuring consistent product quality and machine performance. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to production specifications.

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery while monitoring quality of output and machine performance.
• Adjust machinery using company-supplied tools to maintain quality and production speed.
• Complete required paperwork and data entry per ISO and departmental procedures.
• Review job jackets and approved proofs to determine customer specifications.
• Communicate production, quality, or maintenance issues to production lead or Process Team Coach.
• Identify, evaluate, and initiate corrective action on machinery operations as needed.
• Relay job and machine status to incoming operators during shift transitions.
• Perform routine operator maintenance of machinery.
• Operate and set up specialized finishing equipment per job specifications.
• Participate in 5S continuous improvement programs, including audits and action items.
• Use production floor supervision systems to update machine status changes.
• Provide machine coverage for other operators during breaks and lunches.
• Assist other departments as production needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and calipers.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
