Overview
Our Client is seeking a Machine Operator to join its 2nd shift production team in North Kingstown, RI. This position operates specialized production equipment used to personalize debit and credit cards according to customer specifications.
Previous Machine Operator experience is not required. Candidates with basic computer and math skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment are encouraged to apply.
Job Description
- Operate card production equipment and perform related production activities.
- Set up, monitor, and adjust equipment according to written and verbal instructions.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments.
- Complete quality inspections on your own work to ensure production standards are met.
- Meet established production output and quality goals.
- Confirm receipt of work and prioritize assignments based on production needs.
- Identify potential production or quality issues and assist with corrective actions.
- Work closely with operators, technicians, and supervisors to resolve production issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Follow all security, safety, and production policies and procedures.
- Attend required training sessions and meetings.
- Order supplies as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to troubleshoot basic problems and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to stand and operate machinery for 6+ hours per shift.
- Safety shoes are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude or experience working with machinery.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and maintenance instructions.
- Intermediate computer skills.
Additional Information
- Previous Machine Operator experience is not required.
- Position is 100% onsite in North Kingstown.
- Assignment is expected to last a minimum of one year.
- Candidates may be able to start while employment and education verification are pending.
