Sheeter Machine Operator (2nd Shift)
Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay: $21.00-$21.75/hour
Position Summary
The Sheeter Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment that converts large rolls of paper into precise cut sheets. This role ensures high product quality by monitoring size accuracy, alignment, and sheet condition while maintaining efficient production and adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate sheeter machines to convert roll stock into specified sheet sizes
- Adjust machine settings (tension, pressure, speed) for optimal performance
- Monitor production for accuracy in sheet size, thickness (caliper), squareness, and overall quality
- Inspect finished sheets to ensure they are press-ready and meet customer specifications
- Troubleshoot issues such as jams or misfeeds and make necessary adjustments
- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and die changes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping
- Enter roll data into inventory systems and track material usage
- Record production output and document waste or scrap
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Qualifications
- Ability to read and use measuring tools (tape measures, rulers)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material tracking
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Strong attention to safety and quality
