Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
We are currently seeking candidates with machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment for specialty machine building company in Twinsburg.
In this position you will receive training and learn how to set up and operate a variety of production machines to produce precision metal parts, fixtures, and tools.
Shift:- 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Pay:- $20.00 - $22.00/hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:- Operate various production machinery, unloading and loading machines, and setting up parts
- Work from blueprints, sketches, or broken parts
- Calculate dimensions using measuring instruments
- Install, align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines
- Turn, mill, drill, shape, and machine parts to specifications or samples
- Measure, examine, and test completed products for defects
- Deburr all surfaces of parts or products to ensure that they conform to specifications
- Ensure operation of equipment by performing preventative maintenance requirements
- Wipe down outside of machine and clean inside of machine on a daily basis.
- Wear the required Company-provided protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses
Minimum Requirements:- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment, grinding/machining experience is a plus
- A strong mechanical aptitude is required
- The ability to read a micrometer
- Ability to perform calculations and calibration of machine and parts
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form
