Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Join our team as a Packaging Machine Operator, where you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sleeving and bottling machines. Your role will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of packaging processes, adhering to quality and safety standards.

• Follow procedures to operate and clean sleeving and bottling machines.
• Ensure sleeves are correctly placed on bottles by the machine and prevent bottle backups.
• Verify correct date codes for each day's production run.
• Communicate machine status and any unacceptable bottle quality issues to the supervisor or Plant Manager.
• Provide relief to other Machine Operators during machine downtime or job reassignments to maintain departmental efficiency and production quality.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on machines promptly.
• Report to the workstation on time, wear proper work attire, and assist in setting up the work area.
• Execute duties according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Sanitization Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), meeting quality and safety standards set by HACCP, FDA, EPA, OSHA, USDA, WDA, and customer requirements.
• Comply with Lifeway Employee Policy in all conduct.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• 2+ years of machine operating experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with machine operation and general production.

• Experience with packaging and filling machines.
• GMP knowledge preferred.

Work the 2nd shift with options of 12pm - 8pm, Monday to Friday; 2pm - 12am, Monday to Thursday; or 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday. Adhere to GMP standards, including wearing a hair net, beard net, smocks, and steel-toe shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
