Just outside of Chicago, our Melrose Park facility is part of our meat division business where we produce batter blends, pastry blends, and bread crumbs. We are a fast paced, never a dull moment manufacturing facility that comes together as a team to get the job done. With a growing portfolio, comes need to grow our team! Shift/Working Hours 3rd / 10pm-6am - Overtime when needed








What you'll do



Our Machine Operators are a critical component to our success. You’re the one behind the scenes ensuring every production line is up to standards and is supported. You’re making it possible for us to ensure top quality of Kerry products.


You’ll be a key part of a high performing team that keeps production lines running efficiently while working together to ensure we all have a safe workplace. We’ll count on you to help us meet our customer and consumer needs as you



+ Move and transfer ingredients by hand, cart, or forklift (don’t worry, we’ll train you if not certified)


+ Document temperature and machine readings with accuracy - your attention to detail will be key here


+ Regularly handle objects weighing up to 50+ lbs in a frequent basis.


+ Responsible for machine start up, shut down and changeover procedures.


+ Verify that screens on sifters are in good condition and are appropriate for the product that is running.


+ Record all raw materials neatly and accurately on the manufacturing order (MO).


+ Perform a wide variety of miscellaneous duties which may include sweeping, clean-up, removing garbage, taking samples and etc.






What you'll need to be successful







+ High School diploma or GED required. 1 to 3 years related experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred, or any manufacturing industry required


+ Able to communicate in English to understanding the job terminology.


+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and manufacturing orders. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lifting, pushing, and pulling of product hoses while loading/unloading products. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times every day, and lift at least 50 lbs regularly.






Compensation Data



The pay rate for this position is $23.33 per hour. Kerry offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance. This job posting is anticipated to expire on 6/06/2026.





Note This role shift differential of .75 cents.
