    Description

    Job Description:

    The Machine Operator C produces quality products according to provided specifications and equipment.

    This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time.

    Shift:

    3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ability to operate numerous types of equipment with high productivity and quality levels
    • Abide by all safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees
    • Safely operate stamping presses, assembly and machining equipment
    • Proficient in using PLC (programable logic controller), loading and unloading machines, detailed inspections, ability to use measuring devices and gauges to check tolerances within several thousandths, and final assembly and packaging (box construction, label placement and taping) of products
    • Ability to work on a raised platform safely
    • Ability to operate a computer
    • Perform repetitive operations, according to provided work instructions
    • Use fixtures, jigs, hand tools as necessary, to ensure proper position and/or movement of components and parts
    • Be alert to detect obvious defects and take necessary measures to correct
    • Proactively work with team members to meet production goals
    • Other duties and projects as determined by business and production needs
    • Perform in process Quality checks as required

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • High School diploma, or equivalent, preferred
    • Display great attention to detail
    • Requires ability to follow oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to read and understand provided work instructions
    • Basic math skills

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    • The employee may be required to frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

    • Prolonged standing of eight or more hours a day

    • Frequent walking

    • Occasional bending, crouching, twisting, reaching

    • Employees may be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells
