Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join our glass manufacturing team. This position involves operating machinery to cut, polish, and temper glass according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate glass machinery and equipment to cut, polish, and temper glass
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to ensure accuracy
Assist with loading and unloading glass materials using an overhead crane
Use hand and power tools to complete custom and detailed work
Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots
Participate in cross-training across multiple production areas
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
Basic math and measurement skills; must be able to read a tape measure accurately
Ability to read and understand blueprints or technical drawings
Experience preferred in one or more of the following:
CNC milling or machine operation
Construction or metal fabrication
Custom design work
Overhead crane operation
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable attendance and positive attitude
