Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Machine Operator role performs a variety of duties in the set-up and operation of equipment as defined in the work instructions for each process. What a typical day looks like: Reviews production schedules, process procedures and specifications regarding the sequential start-up, operation and control of automated equipment and peripheral hardware. Performs automated equipment set-up functions which include the loading of electronic components, raw cards, feeders, fixtures, stencils, chemicals, etc. Performs sequential start-up for the automated equipment and all peripheral hardware. Monitors the operation of the automated equipment and peripheral hardware. Initiates adjustments to ensure that the automated equipment and peripheral hardware operate within the established control limits. Monitors the shelf-life usage of perishable chemicals, moisture sensitive parts and raw card assemblies. Inspects quality levels of production on the automated equipment and peripheral hardware. Adjusts equipment or hardware when workmanship drops below quality specifications. Initiate rework/repair activities on product that is substandard to the specifications. Records data required for statistical process control or inventory management. Performs preventive maintenance on the automated equipment and peripheral hardware at specified intervals and schedules. Performs sequential shutdown, including the cleaning of the automated equipment or peripheral hardware. The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is required Minimum of 5+ years of machine operator experience or experience in a related area required Completion of company provided training may be required. Able to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads and supervisors of the organization. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement and distance. Requires the ability to operate and maintain most machines Must have basic programming skills, complex troubleshooting and monthly maintenance. Demonstrates advanced manufacturing line skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees. Has awareness of new line technologies/ techniques. Overview:We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join a high-performance manufacturing team on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automated production equipment while ensuring product quality, process accuracy, and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where precision and consistency are critical. Job Duties: Set up production equipment by reviewing schedules, procedures, and job specifications Load components, feeders, and materials to prepare automated machinery for operation Start, operate, and continuously monitor automated production equipment Make real-time machine adjustments to maintain quality and production standards Inspect finished and in-process products to ensure compliance with specifications Perform rework or corrective actions when quality issues arise Track inventory usage and maintain accurate production and process documentation Monitor shelf life and proper handling of sensitive materials and components Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic equipment cleaning Follow shutdown procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 1–2 years of machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred Ability to read and interpret work instructions, procedures, and technical documents Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and blueprints Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and protractors Ability to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within defined guidelines Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
