Job Title: Machine Operator and Material Handler

Job Description

This role combines machine operation and material handling in a warehouse environment. You will cut sheet metal to size using a saw and follow work tickets, while also pulling materials, handling products, and preparing finished goods for shipment. Approximately 60% of your time will focus on saw operation and machine work, and 40% on material handling and warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws and related equipment to cut sheet metal to specified sizes based on work tickets.
• Follow detailed work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient completion of cutting tasks.
• Use measurement tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet required specifications.
• Handle and move metal parts and sheet metal safely throughout the warehouse.
• Pull correct materials from inventory according to job orders and work tickets.
• Prepare finished products for shipment, including organizing, packaging, and staging orders.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when qualified and as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse and around machines.
• Inspect materials and finished parts for quality and report any defects or issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production team members to meet production and shipping schedules.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating machines, specifically working with metal parts and sheet metal.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and work tickets.
• Ability to read and use basic measurement tools and perform basic measurement functions.
• Experience working with saws in an industrial or warehouse setting.
• Experience with CNC equipment in any capacity (preferred but strongly valued).
• Experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification is a strong plus.
• Any prior CNC experience or training is beneficial.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment handling metal products is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse and production environment working primarily with sheet metal and metal parts. You will operate saws, measurement tools, and material handling equipment such as forklifts. The role is on a 2nd shift schedule, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The setting involves standing for extended periods, handling materials, and working around active machinery and moving equipment, with a focus on maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pelham, NH.

The pay range for this position is $22.29 - $24.22/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Pelham,NH.
