Machine Operator Assistant
Job Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in and around the facility. This includes routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and ensuring sanitation standards are met in workspaces, common areas, restrooms, and other designated areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in offices, hallways, and public areas
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures
Empty and dispose of trash and recycling from bins throughout the facility
Dust and wipe down surfaces including desks, counters, furniture, and windowsills
Clean glass surfaces, windows, and mirrors as needed
Restock supplies in restrooms and breakrooms (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
Report any maintenance or repair needs (e.g., leaks, lights out, equipment damage)
Operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in an orderly manner
Follow all health and safety regulations
Lock/unlock doors, turn off/on lights, and set security systems as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience is a plus
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriente
