Role Description The Machine Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Bloomfield, CT. The person in this role will set up, operate, and monitor centerless grinding and related machinery to produce parts according to job specifications and production schedules. Day-to-day responsibilities include loading and unloading parts, making basic machine adjustments, measuring and inspecting parts for quality and consistency, and recording production data. The Machine Operator will follow safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area, and collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues. This role may also involve assisting with routine machine maintenance and supporting continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor.\n

• Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation and working safely with Machinery in a production environment.

• Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, including basic measurement, inspection, and attention to detail.

• Candidates should possess skills in using Hand Tools and basic mechanical tools for setup, adjustment, and minor maintenance.
• \n
• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and team members and following written instructions.
• \n
• Prior experience in machining, grinding, or manufacturing is beneficial.
• \n
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or work instructions is preferred.
• \n
• Willingness to stand for extended periods, lift materials as required, and follow all safety guidelines.
• \n
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.
