Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain customize machining centers to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining principles and a commitment to precision and safety.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Enter production data into machines for producing panels for our Speed Guardian product line
- Load raw materials into machine
- Perform tool changes and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Assemble panels while machine is working while also keeping the machine running
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, making adjustments or escalating problems as needed.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Identify and report any machine malfunctions, tool wear, or other issues to the supervisor or maintenance department.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S principles).
- Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and handling of materials.
- Ability to flex into other work areas as needed
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High attention to detail
- 1-3 years of machine operation experience
- Prioritization skills
- Ability to use hand tools
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining, CNC operation, or a related field is a plus.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs.
- Be able to safely climb stairs or ladder.
- Be able to work in cold or hot working conditions
- Must be able to Bend, Stoop, Squat, Kneel
Equipment Used:
The candidate may be required to use a variety of hand tools such as saws, drills, impact drivers, saws, pneumatic air guns, and tape measures.
