Volt is immediately hiring for All Shifts Machine Operators in Carlsbad, Ca.

 

Summary:
Operate and maintain printers, perform basic maintenance, prepare machines for production, and media blast printed parts according to job specifications. Ensure parts are properly cleaned, powder-free, and meet quality standards.

 

As a Machine Operator you will:

·  Operate, maintain, and prepare 3D MJF printers, processing stations, and build units for production.

·  Work closely with Project Technicians, Machine Technicians, Leads, and the Finishing Department.

·  Ensure printers meet uptime and productivity (OEE) requirements.

·  Perform media blasting and post-processing tasks according to job sheets and drawings.

·  Inspect parts for quality, verify features, and identify defects.

·  Report equipment issues and notify leads of any questionable parts.

·  Maintain equipment, media levels, and a clean work area.

·  Follow all safety procedures and promote a positive team environment.

·  Assist with various production activities and other duties as assigned.

 

As a Part Finisher/Sorter you will:

·  Sort completed builds and jobs, ensuring accurate part counts.

·  Install part inserts and prepare parts according to job requirements.

·  Enter and maintain production and quality data in the QA database.

·  Work closely with MJF Supervisors and Program Expeditors to support production schedules.

·  Follow work instructions and specifications outlined on job sheets.

·  Visually inspect parts for defects and quality issues.

·  Reject non-conforming parts and create the necessary documentation/appended reports.

·  Ensure all jobs are processed and delivered to Quality Control and Shipping on time.

·  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

·  Promote a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.

·  Assist with miscellaneous production tasks and other duties as assigned.

 

This is a full-time opportunity.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Manufacture experience.
  • Minimum of 1-3 year or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute work with detailed job instructions.
  • Solid technical attributes.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Beginning Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Able to accomplish tasks without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to pass a drug test and a background check.

 

Shift/Schedule:

Mon-Fri             6 am – 2:30 pm                             1st Machine Operator

Mon-Fri             8 am – 4:30 pm                            1st Part Finisher/Sorter

Mon-Thur         4 pm – 2:30 am                           2nd Swing Media Operator

Fri – Sun            4 pm – 4:30 am                            2nd Machine Operator

Mon – Thur       8 pm – 6:30 am                            3rd Machine Operator

Fri – Sun            4 pm – 4:30 am                            3rd Part Finisher/Sorter

 

Pay Range: $21.00-22.00/hr
