Machine Operator Slitter Trainee
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Pay: $21.00/hr
Shift: 2nd (2:00 PM 11:30 PM, Mon Fri)
Training required on 1st shift (6:00 AM 2:30 PM)
Overview
Entry-level role supporting slitting operations in a plastics manufacturing environment, with a clear path to Slitter Operator.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with machine setup, loading/unloading materials
Learn to operate slitting equipment safely
Move, stage, and package materials
Perform basic quality checks and maintain records
Keep work area clean and follow safety procedures
Requirements
No experience required; training provided
Mechanical aptitude preferred
Strong attention to detail and teamwork
Reliable attendance and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Work Environment & PPE
Steel-toe shoes required; ear protection recommended (provided)
No food on production floor (breakroom available)
