Position summary
We're looking to immediately hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator, Laborer, and CDL Driver. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role for someone who can operate machinery, drive, contribute as a laborer, and help keep our job sites running smoothly. The ideal candidate has real construction experience, takes pride in their work, and brings a dependable, can-do attitude to the team every day.

You'll work on job sites across Fairfield and Westchester counties.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, skid steers, lulls, backhoes, and other heavy equipment for site work including digging, grading, trenching, and backfilling
• Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials, debris, and equipment to and from job sites
• Contribute as a laborer to support crews and keep projects on schedule
• Maintain and service equipment and machinery, and perform light maintenance as needed
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues promptly
• Load, secure, and unload materials safely and in compliance with DOT regulations
• Plan, coordinate, and help execute project tasks alongside the on-site team
• Work safely and respectfully on active, high-end residential properties, with care for the client's home and surroundings
• Maintain accurate inspection, test, and equipment documentation

Qualifications

• CDL Class A License (preferred)
• Experience operating excavators, skid steers, lulls, and backhoes
• Experience as a laborer and driver in a construction setting
• Ability to maintain, service, and perform light maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Familiarity with CT DOT and industry standards and regulations
• Strong attention to detail in inspections, tests, and documentation
• Proficiency using relevant tools
• Able to perform the physical demands of the role — lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with a positive, can-do attitude
• Must pass drug testing, motor vehicle license check, and background check

Compensation: $70,000-85,000/year
