SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Operators for a client in Chicago, IL. The Machine Operator will set up and operate Vertical pouch machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Perform mechanical adjustments, changeovers and perform preventive maintenance according in a timely manner. When necessary, Maintenance support will be provided. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts: 6:30am-5:00pm
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator: - Experience operating Hayssen machines and high-speed equipment.
- Experience operating/calibrating and adjusting Mettler Toledo scale systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
- Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
- Determine the required materials, products, and resources needed.
- Read and follow job orders.
- Inspect the machine outputs for quality control.
- Provide detailed reports and logs on the work done.
- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
- Housekeeping, sanitation and GMP compliance.
- Keep up with safety requirements and maintain a safe work setting.
Required Qualifications of the Machine Operator:- Analytical, technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team.
- 2 – 4 years of experience as a Machine Operator.
- Training and hands-on experience in safety techniques and requirements.
- Training and hands-on experience with specific machinery.
- Knowledge of various types of machinery operation.
- Trained to handle measurement devices and tools.
