We're looking for a skilled and motivated Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll work with advanced machinery to shape, cut, and prepare steel components that play a critical role in our production process. What You'll Do
As a Machine Operator, you'll be at the core of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a variety of machines to cut, shear, punch, tap, drill, and shape steel
- Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate production
- Performing processes such as cutting, rolling, threading, and drilling materials
- Monitoring steel inventory and coordinating restocking with your supervisor
- Operating equipment such as cranes and tow motors to move materials safely
- Loading and unloading steel deliveries efficiently
- Maintaining scrap materials and keeping your workspace organized
- (Metal Processing Area) Operating specialized equipment like press brakes and lasers
- Supporting team members and assisting with training when needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to four years of hands-on manufacturing or factory experience
- Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot basic process issues
- Familiarity with CNC equipment and basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physical Requirements
This is an active role that requires you to:
- Stand for extended periods on a concrete floor
- Bend, kneel, squat, climb, and lift regularly
- Lift up to 70 lbs independently (or more with assistance)
- Maintain strong visual focus and awareness in a busy environment
Work Environment
- Traditional manufacturing shop setting
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season
- Loud noise levels and occasional fumes or odors
- Safety equipment is required and provided
Schedule & Expectations
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00am-4:30pm
- Opportunity for overtime on Fridays and some weekends as needed
- Willingness to work overtime (50-60 hours/week as needed)
