Machine Operator - Cleveland, OH - JOB 26-00370

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
Shift: 1st Shift (Standard Mon-Fri with flexible 8, 10, or 12-hour schedules; overtime available)

An established Cleveland, Ohio manufacturing firm trying to hire a dependable, detail-oriented Machine Operator. As a Machine Operator, will be trained to set up, run, and maintain industrial production machinery.

Responsibilities
  • Learn to independently operate and monitor multiple machines simultaneously, including centerless grinders, drill presses, robotic systems, milling machines, and deburring stations.
  • Read and interpret product gauging instruments to ensure all finished parts strictly match engineering specifications and quality blueprints.
  • Monitor machine performance during active production runs; perform routine troubleshooting and minor adjustments to maximize uptime.
  • Safely load raw materials into machinery and unload finished pieces according to production schedules.
  • Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, hazard-free workstation.

Requirements
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and a natural comfort working with hand tools, power tools, or industrial machinery.
  • Prior exposure to tooling, machining processes, or precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges) is a major plus but not required.
  • Basic math proficiency required for accurate measurements, calculations, and specification adjustments.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift manufacturing materials, and operate machinery safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Completion of a formal Machinist Training program is highly valued.
  • Background in manufacturing, warehouse assembly, production, or automotive repair is preferred.
