Champion Personnel is hiring 4 experienced Machine Operators for a small, family-owned manufacturing company in Cleveland. These positions are for 2nd shift, but candidates must be available to train on 1st shift for up to approximately two months before transitioning to 2nd shift. 

Schedule & Pay

• Training: 1st Shift – Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
• Permanent Schedule: 2nd Shift – Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
• Starting Pay: $19.00/hour
• 4 positions available
• Contract-to-hire opportunity

What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator, you'll be trained to set up and operate machinery that produces stainless-steel threaded meter rods used in the paper industry. You'll load rods into the machine, monitor the production process, and ensure the finished product meets requirements. Machine cycles can take up to 30 minutes, so attention to detail and patience are important. 

What We're Looking For

We're looking for candidates with real machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment. You should be comfortable reading a tape measure, have decent math and measuring skills, be able to stand for long periods, and lift up to 40 lbs. Steel-toe boots are required. Candidates should also be dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently after training. 

Excellent attendance is extremely important — candidates must be committed to showing up every scheduled day, particularly during the first 90 days.
