Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Grand Forks, ND
Compensation: $20.50 per hour – paid weekly
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00am - 4:30pm
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire | Full-time
About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Machine Operators for a steel fabrication company in Grand Forks, North Dakota. In this role, you’ll support the production of high-quality steel products while working with a skilled manufacturing team in a stable, growing environment. If you enjoy hands-on work, following structured processes, and working with tools and machinery, this could be a great opportunity with long-term potential.
What You’ll Do as a Machine Operator:- Follow standard work instructions, training guides, and procedures to meet quality requirements
- Operate and work with various hand tools and equipment
- Read and follow build boards and Kanban system requirements
- Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in materials, products, or equipment
- Maintain a positive, team-focused work environment through clear communication and collaboration
What You Need to Bring to the Machine Operator Role:- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Basic computer skills (Windows, email, internet)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs from floor to waist, carry up to 50 lbs, and push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Reliable attendance and transportation to the Grand Forks area
