Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Looking for a stable manufacturing job with a consistent schedule and opportunities to grow? Penmac Staffing is hiring Machine Operators for an envelope manufacturing facility. This position plays an important role in ensuring product quality, maintaining production standards, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.
Requirements for the Machine Operator- High school diploma or GED required
- Manufacturing experience and/or training preferred
- Ability to read and follow safety rules, work instructions, and production documents
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to read a ruler and perform accurate measurements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Machine Operator Responsibilities- Verify production matches job specifications and approved samples
- Inspect work completed on previous shifts for quality and proper packaging
- Check carton and box counts and report discrepancies
- Remove, inspect, and pack finished envelopes
- Identify and remove defective products
- Perform quality checks for adhesion, sizing, tears, splits, and print accuracy
- Accurately complete production logs and work records
- Assist with machine setup, clearing jams, and production adjustments
- Label cartons and maintain product tracking information
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with team members during shift transitions
Physical Requirements- Stand for extended periods of time
- Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
- Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Bend, reach, kneel, walk, and crawl as needed
- Work around moving machinery, airborne particles, and occasional heat
- Wear required hearing protection in a high-noise environment
- Possess close vision, distance vision, and color recognition abilities
