Job Title: Machine Operator – Die Cutting
Location: Ball Ground, GA
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time
Shift: 2nd | Mon-Fri | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Machine Operator – Die Cutting Description:

  • Set up and operate die cutting machines to produce precision-cut materials according to specifications
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production instructions before starting each job
  • Install, align, and adjust dies, plates, and materials to ensure accurate cutting and optimal performance
  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, pressure, and alignment to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Perform make-ready setups and run test samples to ensure production readiness
  • Monitor production runs and inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and defects
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make real-time adjustments to minimize downtime
  • Remove scrap material and properly stack, organize, or stage finished products
  • Accurately complete production reports, including quantities, waste, and downtime tracking
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating manufacturing or machine equipment (die cutting preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, work orders, and production specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Basic computer and documentation skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with steel rule or rotary die cutting equipment
  • Familiarity with materials such as plastics, cardboard, or sheet materials
  • Background in printing, packaging, or manufacturing environments
