Machine Operator Die Cutting Description:
- Set up and operate die cutting machines to produce precision-cut materials according to specifications
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production instructions before starting each job
- Install, align, and adjust dies, plates, and materials to ensure accurate cutting and optimal performance
- Adjust machine settings such as speed, pressure, and alignment to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform make-ready setups and run test samples to ensure production readiness
- Monitor production runs and inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and defects
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make real-time adjustments to minimize downtime
- Remove scrap material and properly stack, organize, or stage finished products
- Accurately complete production reports, including quantities, waste, and downtime tracking
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating manufacturing or machine equipment (die cutting preferred)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, work orders, and production specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with steel rule or rotary die cutting equipment
- Familiarity with materials such as plastics, cardboard, or sheet materials
- Background in printing, packaging, or manufacturing environments
