Start your new career as a CNC Machine Operator with MAU at Salus Scientific in Duncan, SC. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will operate RF welding and CNC routing equipment to manufacture precision radiation-shielding components that support the safety of healthcare professionals. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What Were Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC, machine operation, or manufacturing is a plus
  • At least 1 year of experience operating CNC equipment, RF welding equipment, or similar fabrication machinery; candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documents
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar quality environment preferred
  • Experience with CNC router setup and basic program edits or offsets preferred

What Youll Do as a CNC Machine Operator:

  • Set up and operate RF welding equipment to bond flexible textile materials to specifications
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC routing equipment using engineering drawings and CAM files
  • Read and interpret work instructions, cut sheets, and blueprints to determine machine setup and material requirements
  • Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality and production standards
  • Perform routine operator maintenance, including tooling changes, cleaning, and minor machine adjustments
  • Complete production, quality, and inspection documentation accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and PPE requirements
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to troubleshoot processes and support new product introductions
  • Meet daily production goals while minimizing scrap and maintaining first-pass quality
