Position Overview
This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to learn the fundamentals of sheet metal fabrication in a professional shop environment. You’ll receive on-the-job training while working alongside experienced fabricators, producing components used on large-scale mechanical projects. No prior shop experience is required—just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and assist in setting up sheet metal fabrication equipment, including shears, press brakes, and plasma tables
- Measure, cut, and form sheet metal according to shop drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Perform quality inspections to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Handle materials, including loading and unloading sheet metal
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
- Support the fabrication team as needed to meet production deadlines

- Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical tasks in a shop environment
- Previous fabrication, manufacturing, or construction experience is a plus—but not required
