Day Shift: 7:45 AM 8:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Night Shift: 7:45pm - 8:00 AM

Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation
1st shift: $17

Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and monitor nonwoven carding machines and slitting equipment.

• Feed raw fibers and rolls into machines per specifications, ensuring accurate slitting of fabric to target widths.

• Adjust machine parameters (tension, alignment, speed) to maintain efficiency and quality.

• Inspect output for quality attributes including web consistency, weight, thickness, slitting precision, and overall integrity.

• Conduct routine maintenance: clean machinery, replace rollers/blades, and resolve jams.

• Record production metrics, machine performance, and issue logs accurately.

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, compliant work area.

• Support start-ups, shutdowns, and line changeovers.

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operator experience preferably in nonwovens, textiles, carding, or slitting.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.

• Basic math and measurement skills.

• Team-oriented, adaptable to a fast-paced production environment.

Work Environment

• Busy industrial setting in nonwoven fabric production.

• Exposure to fibers, dust, and machinery (PPE required).

• May require weekend or swing shifts depending on production demand.
